Irish singer-songwriter Blooms seems to crop up once every few months with another blissfully downbeat ballad in tow, only to drift off into the twilight as quickly as she appeared. Sure enough, Louise Cunnane looks set to repeat the trick again this week, with the heavenly 'Secrets' appearing online with little fanfare late last night. We've come to know Cunnane as something of a minimalist and 'Secrets' follows the peaceful 'Love' in that vein, with satiny vowels placed carefully over a galaxy of mellow synths and sentimental guitar chords. Another fine effort - let's hope she sticks around a little longer this time. - DC
